ABOUT US

INDIAN FILM & TELEVISION DIRECTOR'S ASSOCIATION

It was the year 1959 when Cinema was preparing to move from black and white to the era of colours; the craze for films had gripped the audience, the passion of filmmakers had turned into a healthy competition. It was with the aim of providing welfare and keeping dignity and honour of the Master Craftsmen, the Assistant Directors founded IFDA (Indian Film Directors’ Association) as a trade union.
